Dear friends,
Trust is not something you are born with; it is something you build slowly. Like a bridge being constructed one beam at a time, trust requires patience, consistency, and time. Because it takes so long to create, it is very fragile. It can be easily damaged when promises are broken or expectations are not met.
However, at its core, building trust is an act of bravery. It requires us to be vulnerable—to let our guard down and show our true selves. This means being honest about our mistakes, our deepest fears, and our hidden pain, all while hoping we will be accepted. It is the act of choosing to rely on someone else, even when we know there is a risk of being hurt.
When we apply this to our faith in God, we find a beautiful truth. Unlike people, who may sometimes let us down, God is perfectly faithful. Trusting God means choosing to let Him into every part of your life—the messy parts, the broken parts, and the parts you try to hide. It is a continuous choice to believe that He will treat you with love and care, no matter what.
Spiritual growth often happens in those moments where we decide to stop relying on our own strength and start leaning on His. Even when you are scared of heartbreak or uncertainty, you can take a step of faith today. You don’t have to be perfect to be loved by Him; you just have to be willing to be real.
As you go through your day, remember that God is the one person you can fully trust with your heart. He sees your flaws, yet He still chooses you, over and over again.
A Verse to Remember:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5-6
A Prayer for Today:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for being a God I can always trust. Help me to be brave enough to be vulnerable with You today. When I am afraid, remind me that Your love is constant and that You are holding my heart with care. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
