Dear friends, welcome.
Today, I want to talk about something that often goes unnoticed in our busy, fast-paced world. We are so quick to define beauty by what we see in a mirror or how we present ourselves to the public, but I believe there is a deeper, more enduring kind of beauty—one that reflects the heart of our Creator. It is a beauty that doesn’t fade with time; instead, it grows brighter, leaving every room a little softer and warmer just because it was present.
When we talk about inner beauty, we are not talking about perfection. We are talking about the people who truly stop to watch the sky turn soft before sunset, who find peace in the rhythm of the rain, and who see the hidden grace in a stranger’s smile. They treat the ordinary as if it were a daily miracle. They find value in the forgotten things—an old photograph, an awkward silence, or a scar that tells a story of survival.
This is the kind of spiritual growth that comes from choosing to see the world as if it still has magic in it, even after everything. It is about loving people in their quiet, messy, and unsure moments, not just when they have it all together. It is about listening to understand rather than to impress. When we move through life with this kind of gratitude, we begin to see the world not as a series of chores or problems, but as a canvas of God’s love.
The Bible reminds us that God has always looked past the surface to see the heart. As it says in 1 Samuel 16:7:
“The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this day and for the beauty You have hidden in the small, ordinary moments of our lives. Help us to slow down and notice the magic in the sky, the rain, and the people around us. Give us eyes that see others the way You do—with grace, patience, and love. May our lives be a reflection of Your light, leaving every place we go a little softer and kinder. Teach us to love the messy parts of ourselves and others, knowing that You are at work in all of it. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
