We hope this message finds you all well. We wanted to share a lesson that is not only significant in our personal growth but also has profound spiritual implications.
In our journey of life, we often encounter situations where we find ourselves wronged by others. It’s easy to hold onto anger, blame, and resentment, especially when we feel that we are not at fault. However, as it is stated in Ephesians 4:31-32 NIV, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Forgiveness isn’t about who was right or wrong. It’s about letting go of the burden we carry in our hearts and choosing love and understanding over anger and resentment.
There’s a divine aspect to forgiveness too. God encourages us to forgive those who have hurt us, despite how difficult it may be. The act of forgiving isn’t just for the person who has wronged us, but it’s for our own spiritual growth and emotional wellbeing. As said in Matthew 6:14-15 NIV, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins, even if it’s tough, even if it feels like it’s not our fault, it’s important to forgive.
Teaching others about forgiveness, about its power and its connection to divine mercy, is one way we can spread love and understanding in the world. By doing so, we help others find the path to healing and peace, just as we have.
Remember, forgiveness is a journey that takes time and patience. As Colossians 3:13 NIV tells us, “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
May God guide us all on this path of forgiveness and peace.
Amen
