Brothers and Sisters,
Let’s be honest for a second. Some days, we open our Bibles looking for a warm hug. We want a verse that says, “You’re doing great, keep going!” And sometimes God gives us that.
But other days? He hands us something we’d rather skip—like correction, conviction, or a gentle but firm “stop going that way.”
That’s the devotional today. The one you need to hear but probably don’t appreciate in the moment.

What This Really Means
When you’re in the middle of a tough lesson—a failed plan, a broken relationship, a consequence of your own mistake—it doesn’t feel like a blessing. It feels like pain.
But God calls that pain discipline. Not punishment. Not rejection. Discipline.
Think of a coach who pushes you to run one more lap. You hate it in the moment. But later, when you cross the finish line stronger, you thank them.
God does the same for your soul. He allows hard things to train you, not to break you. The result? A “harvest of righteousness and peace.” That’s not just a nice phrase—it’s a life that actually works. A heart that’s calmer, wiser, more like Jesus.
Why We Don’t Appreciate It
Because we want comfort now. We want the shortcut. We want to feel good today, not be trained for tomorrow.
But here’s the truth: Spiritual growth almost always comes through uncomfortable seasons. If you’re in one right now, don’t waste it. Let it do its work.
Your Move Today
1. Ask yourself: What is God trying to teach me through this hard thing?
2. Thank Him for caring enough to correct you.
3. Choose to cooperate with the process instead of fighting it.

Prayer
Father, I don’t always like Your lessons. But I trust Your heart. Help me see Your love in the hard places, and let this season produce real peace and righteousness in me. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
