Good morning everyone, so glad you’re here to reflect on God’s Word today.
God doesn’t say He can’t use us because we are broken. Christ came to restore, heal, and deliver us. In Luke 4:18 NIV Jesus says: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.”
There may be seasons when we are feeling alone, discouraged and broken, know that God is right alongside to bring us through it. He is there to give us hope and that will increase our faith in Him. It doesn’t feel good when we’re going through the pain and sorrow, but Ecclesiastes 7:8 assures me that, “the end of a matter is better then its beginning.” Also, Philippians 1:6 NIV tells us, “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Know that even in our brokenness, God is still doing a good work in us. Though it may not feel as good in the beginning, the end is going to be much better.
When we are broken it’s not the time to give up and turn away from God. Rather, it’s time to turn towards Him, God wants to hear from us, seek God for direction, clarity, and strength. It’s the time to ask God to remind us of our purpose, because sometimes we lose that perspective along the way. When we come out on the other side, we’ll have more faith, more joy, more strength, more hope, and a closer relationship with God.
So, don’t give up. Psalm 31:24 NIV “So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord.”
Almighty God, we thank You, we love and praise You. We give Him all the glory. In Jesus holy name,
Amen
